***** ***** ***** ***** ***** Felt like drawing ARIA, also felt like drawing Firefly, killed two birds with one stone and a time paradox (ARIA's set in 2301, Serenity's plated 2459). Actually I was suprised at how neatly the firefly design fits into the Aqua sky. Yeah, I know, Serenity isn't particularly accurate, and it probably isn't very neighborly of her crew to be flying over a population centre with the reactor spill doors open, but I took some artistic license. With them closed she looks a bit wrong, like a 1980s 911 without the whale-tail. Oh, for those who haven't yet seen Firefly/Serenity (and God of all things shiny help you if you haven't), you're really missing out. ---> [link] What I was listening too ---> [link] As for ARIA, that just has to be experienced. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. Actually Serenity's not a dropship, but an un-armed freighter... though she pulls off manuvers fit for a dropship every so often

...before you say anything about vehicles: this has taken me two weeks, at least half of which was spent swearing at the screen trying to draw that spaceship. Notably the last hour and a half was spent swearing at myself for not saving in a timely manner...
